Departments

  1. Administration

    The Village Administrator implements the directives of the Village Board and is responsible for the daily operations of the Village. All department heads report to the administrator.

  3. Building Inspector

    Building inspector ensures that new construction, remodeling, additions and other home improvements are safe and follow building codes. The building inspector enforces building code compliance, issues building permits, and inspects new building, plumbing, electrical, and renovation construction.

  4. Clerk

    The office of the Clerk maintains Village of Waterford public records, issues licenses and permits and conducts elections in the village.

  6. Fire & EMS Services

    Fire and rescue in the village provides prompt and professional response to fire and other emergencies. Village of Waterford Fire & Rescue Department is a combination department composed of paid fire chief and other personnel with paid on-premise and paid on-call staffing

  8. Licenses & Permits

    Licenses and permits are required in many areas, including business, construction, liquor, dog licenses, yard waste permits, building permits, conditional use permits, pier permits, banner and sign permits, special event permits, and others. Permits and licenses are issued by the office of the Village of Waterford Clerk.

  9. Municipal Court

    The mission of the Municipal Court for the Village of Waterford is to correctly and fairly resolve traffic and other municipal ordinance cases in the Village in accordance with the applicable laws.

  10. Police Services

    The Village of Waterford contracts with the Racine County Sheriff's Department for police services. The Sheriff's Department provides traffic control and enforces Village of Waterford municipal ordinances.

  11. Public Works & Utilities

    The Department of Public Works and Utilities is responsible for public right-of-ways, infrastructure, streets, water and sewer utilities, parks and public buildings. The department also responds to issues of animal control, staffs the yard waste drop off site, collects and chips brush at the curb. Garbage and recycling services are contracted to a private waste collection company.

  12. Treasurer

    The treasurer assists departments in budget development, processes revenue and expenses and Village of Waterford payroll, collects taxes and fees, and other financial responsibilities.

  13. Waterford Public Library

    The Waterford Public Library provides resources and information for people of every age whether for research or reading enjoyment.
