The Village of Waterford is poised to face many changes in the New Year and beyond. The impact of decisions made in Racine County and the State will provide opportunities and challenges for our community. The Village Board acknowledges that changes are in store, whether we like it or not, and they would like to be prepared to make important decisions based on guidance from citizens, property owners, and business owners. A survey has been prepared seeking input from taxpayers on the issues, vision, and support of the people most affected. Please take a few minutes to take an online survey included here or the survey that will be included with your next issue of The BRIDGE (in homes by January 12). Surveys can also be taken online or on paper at Village Hall.
Surveys should be completed and returned by January 24, 2018.
Several meetings will be held, engaging students and senior citizens.
Public Engagement Meetings, held on January 16 at Waterford Public Library, invites the public to attend one of two meetings - 10:00 am or 6:00 pm. Large maps will be available for the public to sketch out their vision for Waterford's future.
On January 31 at 6:00 pm,Village Hall, a final collaborative meeting will invite review and comment on the prototype maps which will be compiled to develop a consensus map.
Then, on February 12 at 6:30, Village Hall, the Strategic Growth Planning committee will meet a the Village Board meeting to discuss updates to the 'Vision Waterford' plan.
